SALVATION AND CONSECRATION

Texts: Matt 19: 14-30, Rom 12:1-2, Lev 20:7-8, James 4:6-8, 1 Cor 6:9, 18-20

WHAT IS SALVATION?

Salvation can be simply defined as the process of accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and saviour.
WHAT IS CONSECRATION?

Consecration is the ability to able set apart for the work of God or to be used by God. (Lev 20:7-8, Matt 19:27-29). According to the Advanced Learner dictionary; Consecration is defined to officially make something holy and be able to be used for religious purposes.

When someone tells you that JESUS is knocking at your door, you just need to open the door for HIM to come. Door here simply means, YOUR HEART, He want to take over your life. And can you open the door? It is not physical, it is spiritually. For you being accepting HIM into your life, this process is called

Sanctification

; you will need the following;

1. Acknowledge your sins (Rom 3:2)
2. Believe in your heart that Jesus died for you, HE was brutal for our iniquity and HE was wounded for transgression.
3. Repeat, confess and forsake your sins. The Bible says “Only if you confess JESUS CHRIST as you personal Lord and saviour, you will be saved” (Lk 13:3, 1 John 1:9)
And after this to remain in HIM, that is, to be consecrate, in order to work with me, HIS WORD says “Draw near to me and I will draw near you”, you must do the following:
1. Always read and study your Bible, the bible is the weapon for the believer and not just study, do according to the word of God. The Bible says “Do not be only the hearer but also the doer of the Word”
2. Pray without ceasing (1 Thess 5:17)
3. Present your body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service. (1 Cor 12:1)
4. Do not be confounded to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that good, acceptable, perfect is and will of God.
5. Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.
6. Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality and bless them that persecute you; bless and curse not.
7. Be of the same mind toward one another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not being wise in your own conceits.
8. And for the last thing, “You separate yourself from sinful living and move more closely to God”.

Pray this prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God, I believe in my heart that He died for my sins, I believe in my heart that YOU raised HIM from the dead for my justification. I receive HIM today as my personal Lord and Saviour and I give God the Glory. Amen.

I HAVE A SOUND MIND

The state of your mind could be a liability or an asset. The state refers to platform where your reasoning and motives are set; your faculty of determination are all based in your mind. You must understand this because your effectiveness in life will be based on how sound your mind is. God's word has said that we have a sound mine.

The word pure life is living without impurity, the impurity here mean to live a life without sin. Sin is disobedience to God's commandment, it separates us from the love of God, delays prayer. You can live a pure and holy life if you totally surrender your life to Christ. I pray God wil give you the grace to live a holy life. Amen.
